M4A is hosting a very important specialized training event specifically for law enforcement and first responders entitled “Aging: Responding to the Call”. The training event is being organized by M4A, the Alabama Securities Commission (ASC), Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ACADV) and co-sponsored by the Bessemer Police Department. The training event is designed to equip police officers, firefighters, EMT, and other personnel to better respond to the aging population and gain knowledge on the following topics:
Identifying, Investigating and Prosecuting Financial Crimes
Identifying and Responding to Abuse and Domestic Violence in Later Life
Recognizing and Responding to Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia
